Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS)
BAMS is a 5½years (4½year main course +1year Internship) Degree course leading to Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)Ayurvedacharya. BAMS is being conducted throughoutthe country under IMCC Act, 1970. The syllabus and curriculum is uniform throughout the country and is being conducted only in Ayurvedic Medical Colleges affiliated to universities and only after getting permission from Dept. of AYUSH, Union Govt. Of India to start the course/undertake the admissions.
Central Council for Indian Medicine(CCIM) is the statutory regulatory body constituted under IMCC Act 1970 regulating the Ayurveda educationatal UG level as well as at PG level as well as the practice of Ayurvedic medicine in India.

Eligibility for Admission into BAMS Course:
- Candidate should be NEET Qualified
- Student should have completed Intermediate (Class 12th) from a recognised Board from India/Abroad
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) Total Aggregate Should be 50% and above for General Category Student and NON-Karnataka Students (Irrespective of their Category)
- For OBC, SC, ST Students PCB Total Aggregate Should be 40% and Above
- Candidate should be minimum 17 Years by 31st December of the year of admission
Admission Procedure of BAMS:
- State Quota Govt Seats are filled through Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA),Malleshwaram . The detailed procedures will be given in the website of KEA
- All India Quota Private Seats are filled through AACCC or KEA, as decided by the Ministry of Ayush . The detailed procedures will be given in their respective website.
- Management/NRI Seats are allotted by the College Management on the basis of Merit or as directed by the KEA. Admission into Management Quota is done through College Entrance Exam or Personal Interview & Group Discussion as decided by Management.
Fees Structure- Tuition and Hostel Fees:
- State Quota Govt Seats- Rs 59,000 Per Year
- All India Private Quota Seats – Rs 2,05,000 Per Year
- Mgt Quota Fees – To be Decided by the Management
- Hostel Fees – Rs 78,000 Per Year
- Admission Fees – Rs 27,000 (One Time)
- Hostel Security Deposit – Rs 15,000 (Refundable)
